Denmark joins drone coalition for Ukraine

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has signed an agreement according to which the country joins the international drone coalition for Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Denmark.

"The situation in Ukraine is still very serious. There is no doubt that Ukrainians need continued and massive support from allies. Denmark has promised to support Ukraine's defense struggle for the next ten years. With this agreement, we send a strong signal that we keep our word. Drones are of vital importance for the Ukrainian defense struggle and therefore the international cooperation and drone coalition are so important.,” said the Minister of Defense of Denmark.

The coalition of drones is led by Latvia, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. The coalition aims to deliver 1 million small attack drones to Ukraine.

Denmark's commitments will mainly focus on facilitating joint projects for the acquisition of drones to meet the great needs of Ukraine.

"We see that the use of drones in war has increased significantly since the war in Ukraine. Therefore, it is important that Ukraine gets the drones it needs against Russian aggression. In particular, we see that strike drones are currently one of Ukraine's biggest priorities, for example, to compensate for the Russian advantage. Denmark is ready to invest large-scale and long-term funds in the Ukrainian defense struggle. Their struggle for freedom is still our struggle," the Minister emphasized.

In addition to Denmark, the Memorandum was signed by Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Poland, Sweden, Italy and the UK.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Latvia, which co-leads the "drone coalition", is preparing a second batch of drones for Ukraine.
