As of July 5, agricultural enterprises harvested 3.7 million tons of grain and oil-bearing crops from an area of 1,154,300 hectares
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Currently, 1.62 million tons of wheat have been threshed on an area of 482,200 hectares, 1.56 million tons of barley have been harvested from an area of 402,700 hectares, and 166,400 tons of peas have been harvested from an area of 82,000 hectares.
In addition, 285,900 tons of rapeseed have been threshed on an area of 186,900 hectares and 300 tons of soybeans on an area of 200 hectares.
According to the report, agrarians in twenty-one regions are harvesting early grain crops, while soybean harvesting has begun in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
Farmers of the Mykolaiv Region (314,200 hectares threshed), Odesa Region (205,100 hectares threshed) and Dnipropetrovsk Region (158,200) are the leaders in grain harvesting.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Region is the leader in yield with an indicator of 67.5 tons per hectare
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, farmers have started harvesting early crops.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts a decrease in the harvest of grain and leguminous crops by 6.7% to 56 million tons in 2024 compared to 2023.
