The Black Sea Fleet of the aggressor state of the russian federation has been forced to relocate almost all of its warships from the occupied Crimea to other locations, and its main naval hub is becoming ineffectual because of attacks from Ukraine.
The Commander of the Navy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Neizhpapa, has stated this in an interview with Reuters.
The Vice Admiral said that strikes by Ukrainian missiles and naval drones caused serious damage to the base in Sevastopol, which is a logistics hub for repair, maintenance, training and ammunition storage, as well as performing other important functions for russia.
"They were established over many decades, possibly centuries. And clearly they are now losing this hub," Neizhpapa said.
According to him, almost all the main warships have been withdrawn by the enemy from the main base of the Black Sea Fleet and are in Novorossiysk, some of them are in the Sea of Azov.
Neizhpapa reported that Ukraine destroyed or damaged 27 warships, of which five, he said, were destroyed by detonation of sea mines laid by Ukrainian naval drones near Sevastopol Bay.
According to him, the Black Sea Fleet is currently mainly used for logistics, control over a small part of the coastal territory and for launching Kalibr cruise missiles over Ukraine.
Recall that earlier the Navy reported that the Black Sea Fleet was minimally involved in missile strikes on Ukraine.
