On July 2, a total of 136 combat clashes took place at the front; Pokrovske remained the hottest axis, where 43 attacks took place during the day.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Since the beginning of the day, 136 combat clashes have taken place. The russian aggressor is trying to use the advantage in manpower and air support," the message says.
During the day, the enemy carried out a missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with one missile carried out 41 airstrikes - in particular, dropped 58 anti-aircraft missiles.
In addition, the invaders used 457 kamikaze drones. They conducted almost 3,000 attacks on military positions and settlements using various types of weapons.
On the Kharkiv Axis, russian terrorists, with the support of aviation, stormed the positions of AFU units in the areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke six times.
As of 10 p.m., according to information, during the day, the enemy lost 144 people killed and wounded and 77 units of weapons and military equipment.
In particular, a tank, two artillery systems, ten vehicles, four control points, and a warehouse of fuel and lubricants were destroyed.
On the Kupiyansk Axis, the enemy attacked the AFU positions ten times; five attacks were repulsed near Synkivka, and another one is in progress.
On the Lyman Axis, russian troops attacked Ukrainian defenders 16 times during the day in the areas of Hrekivka, Terny, Nevske, and Makiyivka.
On the Siversk Axis, the enemy stormed five times in the areas of Ivano-Dariyivka, Spirne, and Vyimka.
On the Kramatorsk Axis, eight attempts by the invaders to advance near Chasiv Yar and Klishchiyivka failed, and at 10 p.m., fighting continued in the districts of Kalynivka, Ivankivske, and Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk Axis, the invaders attacked 24 times near Deliyivka, Toretsk, Pivdenne, Niu York, and Pivnichne; at 10 p.m., nine more battles continued.
On the Pokrovske Axis, the aggressor carried out 43 assault and offensive actions, most of them from the Ocheretyne District; 12 battles continue, in particular, near Yevhenivka and Novooleksandrivka.
The occupiers lost a lot of manpower - the AFU killed and wounded more than 350 enemy soldiers, and at least 11 guns and mortars were destroyed and damaged.
On the Kurakhove Axis, 11 combat clashes took place in the areas of Heorhiyivka, Paraskoviyivka, and Krasnohorivka.
On the Dnipro Axis, the enemy had assault actions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 1, a total of 161 combat clashes took place at the front; the Pokrovske Axis remained the hottest.
