Losses of personnel of the russian troops on May 8 increased by 1,300 to 478,730 people; Ukrainian defenders also eliminated 11 tanks, 35 armored fighting vehicles, and 23 artillery systems and shot down 47 drones and 41 cruise missiles.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) posted on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
So, the enemy lost 11 tanks (total – 7,429), 35 armored fighting vehicles (total - 14,281), 23 artillery systems (total - 12,340), 1 MLRS (total - 1,058), one anti-aircraft defense means (total – 793), 69 units of automobile equipment and tankers (total – 16,618), eight units of special equipment (total – 2,027), 47 drones (total – 9,775), and 41 cruise missiles (total – 2,192).
Since the start of the war, the enemy has also lost 349 aircraft, 325 helicopters, 26 ships/boats, and one submarine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the loss of personnel of the russian troops on May 7 increased by 970 to 477,430 people; Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 13 tanks, 19 armored fighting vehicles, and 30 artillery systems.
