On Sunday, April 14, in the Sumy Region, border guards repelled an attack by a sabotage and intelligence group that tried to enter from the territory of russia.
This is reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"The activity of enemy sabotage and intelligence groups in the direction of the Sumy Region remains quite high. The border guards, who were performing a combat mission on one of the directions of the state border, discovered several members of the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group," the report says.
They immediately opened fire on the saboteurs. Shooting from small arms, the invaders retreated.
"The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces are doing everything necessary to protect the Ukrainian territory from the russian aggressor," the border guards assured.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier in the Sumy Region, an attempt to break through of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance group was stopped, the most active battles - in the Novopavlivsk axis.
Earlier it was reported that in the north of the Kharkiv Region, the frequency of entry of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups is recorded.
In addition, in the Kherson Region, Odesa National Guardsmen destroyed a boat belonging to the russian sabotage and reconnaissance group.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine also said that the Sumy Region is "the most popular" for russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Russian saboteurs do not stop trying to break through the border there.
