The Antonov state-run enterprise was transformed into a joint-stock company.
This follows from a statement by Antonov, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that the enterprise will continue to be part of the structure of the Ukrainian Defense Industry joint-stock company.
"The changes do not affect the form of state ownership in any way - 100% of the shares of Antonov JSC are the property of the state. The corporatization of Antonov is a decision that opens up new opportunities for the strategic enterprise of the defense industry for development and corporate management, the introduction of new technologies and modern standards. The transition to a corporate structure will provide a more flexible and efficient approach to all work processes and resource management. This can contribute to attracting additional financial resources for the modernization and development of the enterprise," the message states.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of the end of February, the Ukrainian Defense Industry (formerly Ukroboronprom) completed the corporatization of 33 enterprises.
