Norm on non-provision of consular services to "evaders" returns to mobilization bill

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence has returned to the bill on mobilization the norm on the non-provision of consular services to "evaders."

A member of the committee, a Member of Parliament from the European Solidarity faction Iryna Friz announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The committee returned restrictions on the provision of consular services to citizens of Ukraine abroad without the presence of military accounting documents," she said of the decision of the committee on the mobilization bill.

Friz noted that the committee envisioned that the electronic office of a person liable for military service would be not mandatory for men, but voluntary.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Security Committee will re-consider the norm on blocking the accounts of "evaders" and the ban on driving cars in the mobilization bill.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized parliamentarians who are slow to adopt the government's mobilization bill and are trying to remove from it all norms that cause public outcry.
