On April 4, a total of 65 combat clashes took place at the front; most of the enemy attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Bakhmut (30) and Novopavlivsk (over 20) Axes.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU posted on its Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched four missile and 80 airstrikes and launched 108 rockets using MLRSes on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population.
During the day, 65 combat clashes took place at the front.
On the Kupiyansk Axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions during the past day.
On the Lyman Axis, the AFU repelled four enemy attacks in the area of Terny and Yampolivka settlements in the Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.
On the Bakhmut Axis, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 30 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamiyanka in the Luhansk Region; Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klishchiyivka, and Andriyivka in the Donetsk Region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical position with the support of aviation.
On the Avdiyivka Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks in the areas of Pervomaiske and Nevelske settlements, where the occupiers tried to knock out Ukrainian units from the occupied lines.
On the Novopavlivsk Axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka, and Urozhaine, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the AFU defense more than 20 times.
On the Orikhiv Axis, during the past day, russian invaders, with the support of aviation, made four unsuccessful attempts to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Staromayorske in the Donetsk Region and to the northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
On the Kherson Axis, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
So, during the past day, the enemy carried out five unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops here.
During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck seven areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and two anti-aircraft missile complexes of the occupiers.
Units of missile forces hit one area of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two artillery systems, one radar station, one EW station, and two means of enemy air defense.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 3, a total of 75 combat clashes took place at the front. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled most of the enemy attacks on the Novopavlovsk (22), Avdiyivka (15), and Bakhmut (14) Axes.
