On the night of Saturday, March 9, russian troops launched 15 Shahed-131/136-type attack drones on the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces shot down 12 air targets.
The press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that at night the enemy attacked Ukraine with 15 kamikaze drones (launch areas: Cape Chauda, Crimea; Primorsko-Akhtarsk, russia).
"As a result of combat work, air defense destroyed 12 Shaheds within the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Poltava Regions," the report said.
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 8, the invaders launched 37 attack drones, 2 Kh-59 guided aircraft missiles and 1 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy 33 drones.
