Electricity supply to consumers on the left bank of the Dnieper River in Kyiv will be restored within three to four hours. Until the end of the day, the normal operation of power networks will be restored.
This follows from a statement by the press service of DTEK on Telegram.
As noted in the press service, two high-voltage lines were damaged due to falling debris from the morning rocket attack in Kyiv.
Energy workers are already working at the site to resume electricity supplies.
"Within three to four hours, we will power up the houses with backup power sources. By the end of the day, we plan to restore the normal operation of power grids," the message reads.
In addition, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported that as a result of the shelling, power lines were disconnected, and substations were de-energized. Due to this, a part of consumers in Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi Districts of Kyiv - a total of 19,400 subscribers - were disconnected. Healthcare facilities were left without electricity.
"Energy companies expect to restore power to consumers within three hours," the Ministry of Energy reported.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of Wednesday, February 7, the aggressor country, russia, attacked Kyiv with missiles. Part of the city was left without electricity due to falling debris.
In addition, a heat supply main on the left bank of Kyiv was damaged due to a rocket attack.
