In January 2024, the total trading volume on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 24 billion (122% of the level of December 2023) or 54% of the total trading volume by securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
The PFTS stock exchange announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In the trading structure for January, the share of government bonds was 89.5 (UAH 21.4 billion), corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 6.5% (UAH 1.6 billion), bonds of foreign states - 4% (UAH 0.9 billion), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.05% (12 million).
In January, 5% of transactions were concluded in the "application market"; 85.4% of transactions in the "quotation market" (including address transactions); 9.4% of transactions in repo and risk-controlled REPO modes; and 0.1% of transactions in the auction mode.
In January 2024, 42 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 55 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 36, government foreign loan bonds - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 2, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 6, bonds of a foreign state - 10.
Among the 36 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in January, 20 issues were with repayment dates in 2024 (UAH 7.8 billion), 10 issues with repayment dates in 2025 (UAH 10.7 billion), 4 issues with repayment dates in 2026 (UAH 2.3 billion), and 2 issues with repayment dates in 2027 (UAH 0.6 billion).
Since July 26, the PFTS has begun trading in foreign currency denominated government domestic loan bonds.
In January 2024, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 79.5 million and EUR 1.3 million (12.7% of the total trading volume).
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
As of January 31, 2024, the number of PFTS stock exchange members admitted to trading was 52: 30 banks and 22 financial companies.
353 issues of securities were allowed to trade on PFTS, of which 119 issues of securities were on the exchange register.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2023, the total trading volume on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 28.6 billion (80% of the level of November 2023) or 66% of the total trading volume by securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
Since 1997, the PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in the S&P Emerging Markets.
