Occupiers shell Kherson Region 73 times on January 9; 2 people wounded

On January 9, the military aggressor state of the russian federation fired 73 times on peaceful settlements of the Kherson Region, firing 374 shells using mortars, artillery, MLRS, tanks, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Also carried out a missile strike using ballistics. The enemy fired 11 shells at the city of Kherson.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on his Telegram channel.

Thus, the russian military targeted the residential quarters of the populated areas of the region; objects of critical infrastructure in Kherson and the Kherson District; a banking institution, a factory, an educational institution, and an administrative building in Kherson.

Due to russian aggression, two people were injured.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the spokesperson for the Kherson Region, Oleksandr Tolokonnikov, said that approximately 30% of the population - about 162,000 people - remained on the right bank of the Kherson Region.

Earlier, a resident of the village of Veletenske, Kherson District, died under the ruins of her own house, which was hit by a russian rocket on January 1. Another resident - a 50-year-old woman - was pulled alive from under the rubble. She suffered back and leg injuries.

On December 28, as a result of russian evening shelling, the electricity in Kherson partially disappeared.
