RF loses over 360,000 soldiers in the war against Ukraine – General Staff

Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Monday morning, January 1, amounted to 780 occupiers. The total number of losses of the russian army since the beginning of the invasion is approximately 360,010 troops. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) destroyed six tanks, 17 BBM, and 18 artillery systems of the enemy.

This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU posted on Facebook.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to January 1, 2024, approximately amounted to:

  • personnel - about 360,010 (+780);
  • tanks – 5,983 (+6) units;
  • armored fighting vehicles - 11,087 (+17) units;
  • artillery systems – 8,482 (+18) units;
  • MLRS - 943 units;
  • air defense equipment - 625 (+2) units;
  • planes - 329 units;
  • helicopters - 324 units;
  • UAVs of operational-tactical level – 6,657 (+66) units;
  • cruise missiles – 1,709 units;
  • ships/boats - 23 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 11,330 (+38) units;
  • special equipment – 1,277 (+9) units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 31, the AFU destroyed another 960 russian invaders, eight tanks, and 30 artillery systems.

In addition, on the night of December 31, the russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type UAVs from three directions: Cape Chauda (Crimea), the Primorsko-Akhtarsk area, and the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor state of the russian Federation.

On Saturday, December 30, russian troops carried out 11 unsuccessful assaults on the left bank of the Kherson region, but the Defense Forces are holding their positions.
