During the past day, 68 combat clashes took place at the front. The Ukrainian militaries repelled more than 60 attacks by russian invaders on various axes.
This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on December 4.
It is noted that the aviation of the Defense Forces made eight strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two on anti-aircraft missile complexes, and two on ammunition warehouses of the russians. Units of the missile forces inflicted damage on the heavy flamethrower system of the enemy's salvo fire.
In total, the enemy launched one missile and 45 airstrikes and carried out 49 rockets using MLRSes on the AFU positions and populated areas. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Last night, the russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on Ukraine, intercepting an X-59 guided missile and 12 Shahed-136/131 type attack UAVs.
The following airstrikes took place: Serebrianske Forestry, Luhansk Region; Spirne, Klishchiyivka, Avdiyivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Region; and Krynky, Kherson Region.
More than 130 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolayiv Regions came under artillery fire.
In the area of responsibility of the North Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Volyn and Polisskyi Axes, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi Axes, the russian federation maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to the threatening axis, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod Region.
In the zone of responsibility of the Khortytsia OSUV on the Kupiyansk Axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks in the Synkivka areas of the Kharkiv Region.
On the Lyman Axis, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks of the russian federation in the Serebrianske Forestry area of the Luhansk Region.
At the Bakhmut Axis, the AFU repelled 16 attacks by the occupiers in Bohdanivka, Ivanovsky, Andriyivka, and Klishchiyivka Districts of the Donetsk Region. Defense forces of Ukraine continue their assault south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk Region, inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidate on the achieved boundaries.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Avdiyivka Axis, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy, who does not stop trying to surround Avdiyivka. The defense forces successfully repelled 21 attacks of the russian federation in the areas east of Novokalynove and Novobakhmutivka, as well as in the Stepove, Avdiyivka, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske Regions of the Donetsk Region.
On the Mariyinka Axis, defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Mariyinka and Novomykhailivka Districts of the Donetsk Region, where our defenders repelled eight attacks.
On the Shakhtarsk Axis, our soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the Staromayorske District of the Donetsk Region.
On the Zaporizhzhia Axis, the Defense Forces repelled three attacks by the russians, who were trying to regain their lost position in the areas south of Robotyne. Also, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the Novopokrovka area of the Zaporizhzhia Region.
At the same time, on the Melitopol Axis, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kherson Axis, the defense forces will continue to hold occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River, continue counter-battery fighting, and inflict fire damage on the rear of the russians.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in attempts to enter the territory of the Avdiyivka Coke Chemical Plant, the russian invaders sometimes reach the fence of the plant but are forced to retreat.
Meanwhile, over the past day, the largest number of combat clashes with the russian occupiers took place on the Bakhmut (16) and Avdiyivka (14) Axes.
