Rada introduces temporary taxation of excess profits of banks

The Verkhovna Rada has introduced temporary taxation of excess profits of banks at a rate of 5%.

229 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of bill No. 9656-d in the second reading, with the minimum required 226, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As the Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak reported on his Telegram channel, at the insistence of the IMF, the Ministry of Finance and the NBU, the text of the document was changed from the first reading.

This norm will be in the updated memorandum (which is expected in mid-December).
