During the past day, November 7, there were 45 combat clashes registered between the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and russian invaders. In total, the enemy carried out six missile and 50 airstrikes and carried out 64 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the AFU from its morning summary.
The following areas were hit by airstrikes: Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Pishchane, and Proletarske in the Kharkiv Region; Nadiya, and Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk Region; Riznykivka, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Klishchiyivka, Avdiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk Region; and Tiahynka in the Kherson Region.
More than 80 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Regions came under artillery fire.
In the area of responsibility of the North Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Volyn and Polisskyi Axes, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi Axes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to the threatening Axes, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast, russia.
In the zone of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kupiyansk Axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove settlements of the Kharkiv Region, where our defenders repelled six enemy attacks.
On the Lyman Axis, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the area of Serebrianske Forestry.
On the Bakhmut Axis, our soldiers repelled six attacks by the occupiers near Bohdanivka, Andriyivka, and Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk Region. At the same time, the AFU continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk Region, inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidate on the achieved boundaries.
In the zone of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Avdiyivka Axis, the enemy does not stop trying to surround Avdiyivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy. Thus, the AFU repelled 14 enemy attacks near Stepove, Avdiyivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaisk in the Donetsk Region.
On the Mariyinka Axis, the enemy conducted an unsuccessful assault in the area of Mariyinka in the Donetsk Region, where our defenders repelled 17 attacks.
On the Shakhtarsk Axis, the enemy carried out assaults in the Staromayorske District of the Donetsk Region without success.
On the Zaporizhzhia Axis, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation on the Melitopol Axis, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Troops Group on the Kherson Axis, Ukrainian soldiers are conducting a counter-battery fight, inflicting fire damage on the enemy's rear.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 7, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group, a TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower salvo system and two units of 2C19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzers were destroyed.
