Cabinet suggests Rada increase revenues by UAH 22 billion to UAH 1.768 trillion in draft state budget for 2024

The Cabinet of Ministers has suggested that the Verkhovna Rada increase revenues by UAH 22 billion to UAH 1.768 trillion in the draft state budget for 2024 before the second reading.

A Voice faction member, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Major amendments for the second reading:

- Budget revenues increased by UAH 22 billion to UAH 1.768 trillion;

- Expenditures remain the same at UAH 3.35 trillion;

- State budget deficit reduced by UAH 22 billion to UAH 1.57 trillion;

- External borrowing reduced by USD 103.5 billion (from USD 42.9 billion to USD 41 billion) to agree with the IMF). It was closed due to an increase in internal borrowings by UAH 81.4 billion.

- Forecast for real GDP reduced to 4.6% (in the first reading, it was 5%).

- The inflation forecast is 9.7% (in the first reading, it was 10.8%).

- Assumptions regarding the hryvnia exchange rate - on average, for the year, UAH 40.7 per dollar (it was UAH 41.4 per dollar).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 19, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2024 in the first reading.

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada submitted 1,620 amendments to the draft state budget for 2024 for a total additional amount of UAH 12.5 trillion.
