The Ukrhydroenergo energy generating company and the Andritz Hydro GmbH (Germany) entered into agreements on cooperation in the implementation of projects for the modernization of hydroelectric power plants (HEPP), as well as the production of green hydrogen.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, it is planned to attract more than EUR 50 million for the modernization of the Dniester HEPP damaged by russian attacks.
"Also, the parties will cooperate within the framework of the implementation of projects for the production of green hydrogen. One of the tools for the implementation of these projects is considered financing H2Global. The relevant memorandum was concluded for a period of three years," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the German defense concern Rheinmetall and the Ukrainian Defense Industry have established a joint venture for the maintenance and repair of equipment transferred to Ukraine by Western partners.
