Overnight into October 25, all kamikaze drones of the aggressor country of the russian federation were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Shahed drones were shot down in six regions of Ukraine.
This follows from a statement by the Air Force of the AFU posted on Telegram.
It is noted that the occupiers used 11 attack UAVs of the Shahed type, which were launched from the southeastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF).
"As a result of combat work by the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense forces of the AFU, all 11 Shahed-136/131 were destroyed," said the defenders.
Anti-aircraft defense of the AFU worked in the Cherkasy, Kherson, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolayiv Regions.
The AFU also specified that the following were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack:
- fighter aircraft,
- anti-aircraft missile units,
- mobile fire groups.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine at night with attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Air defense forces managed to shoot down all the drones released by the russians.
Meanwhile, in the Khmelnytskyi Region, russian aerial targets fell into the territory of a critical infrastructure facility. Sixteen people were injured.
