As of the morning of October 16, there are 5 enemy ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including 1 Kalibr cruise missile carrier. Total salvo - up to 4 missiles. This is stated in the message of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, 1 enemy ship is on combat duty in the Sea of Azov. And in the Mediterranean Sea - 3 enemy ships, including 1 Kalibr cruise missile carrier, total salvo - up to 8 missiles.
During the day, in the interests of the aggressor country of the russian federation, passage through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait was carried out by:
- to the Sea of Azov - 25 vessels, 11 of which were moving from the Bosphorus Strait;
- to the Black Sea - 35 ships, of which 9 continued their movement in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait.
The russian federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea of 1974 (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the waters of the Sea of Azov, the message states.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russia has begun to redeploy ships closer to Novorossiysk, but the risk of shelling remains.
In addition, according to Humeniuk, russia has reduced missile attacks because it may try to stockpile missiles for strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities.
At the same time, Humeniuk emphasizes, the occupying forces need additional coordination regarding such attacks. However, it was precisely with this that the russian federation could have difficulties after the attack on the headquarters of the russian Black Sea Fleet in the annexed Sevastopol.
