In August, thermal power plants (TPP) of DTEK Energo increased electricity production by 35% year over year.
This follows from a statement by the company, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Over the past four months, the company's energy enterprises have increased the electricity supply by 28% compared to last year's indicators. In August, when consumption remained at record highs for the summer due to the heat, energy companies generated 35% more electricity in the power system than August last year," the message says.
In the first eight months of 2023, the company's TPPs generated almost 9.9 billion kWh of electricity in the Ukrainian energy system, which is equivalent to the average consumption of about 3.3 million families during the year.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, DTEK Energo plans to invest UAH 11 billion in preparing TPPs and mines for the heating season.
The DTEK Energo company is a structure of the DTEK holding, which combines the coal business, power generation, as well as mining engineering enterprises.
DTEK manages the energy assets of System Capital Management.
