Drone attacks russian airfield in novgorod oblast and damages combat aircraft

The Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a military airfield in the novgorod oblast of the russian federation with drones, at least one aircraft was damaged. The Ministry of Defense of russia informs about this.

The Ministry of Defense of the russian federation reports that on Saturday around 10:00 a.m. moscow time, Ukrainian troops attacked a military airfield in the novgorod oblast using a helicopter-type UAV. The UAV was allegedly detected by the unit of the airfield's external observation post, it was hit with small arms.

"There was a fire at the aircraft parking lot on the territory of the airfield, which was quickly extinguished by fire brigades," the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation claims.

According to the Ministry of Defense of russia, "one aircraft was damaged", there were no casualties.

The Ukrainian Telegram channel Monitor writes that two Tu-22M3 long-range supersonic bombers were damaged at the Soltsy airfield.
