Ukrainian Navy reports current situation with missile carriers in Black Sea

As of August 12, the Russian Federation does not hold a single missile carrier in the Black Sea. This is stated in the message of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the official page on Facebook.

"As of 10:30 a.m. on August 12, 2023: 4 enemy ships are on combat duty in the Black Sea; in the Sea of ​ ​ Azov - 1 enemy ship," the Navy said in the message.

"In a day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the following passed along the Kerch-Yenikal Strait:

- to the Sea of ​ ​ Azov - 27 ships, of which 6 moved from the Bosphorus Strait;

- to the Black Sea - 18 ships, of which 3 continued to move from the Bosphorus Strait," the text of the operational update of the military department stated.

At the same time, it is noted that the Russian Federation continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the waters of the Sea of Azov.

"In the Mediterranean Sea, there are 8 enemy ships on combat duty, of which 2 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, a total salvo of up to 24 missiles," the operational update of the Ukrainian Navy summarizes.
