Since the beginning of the 2023/2024 marketing year (July 2023 - June 2024) and as of August 7, Ukraine's actual volume of grain exports had made 2.577 million tons, up 29% or 0.577 million tons year over year.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
A total of 977,000 tons of wheat, 329,000 tons of barley, 0.500 tons of rye, and 1,266,000 tons of corn have already been exported.
At the same time, during the specified period, the export of wheat flour and flour from other crops rose 2.5 times or by 9,300 tons to 15,700 tons.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 17, Russia announced the withdrawal of shipping safety guarantees in the Black Sea to ensure the "grain corridor."
Ukraine exported 49 million tons of grain in the 2022/2023 marketing year, which is 1.3% more than in the 2021/2022 marketing year.
