Today, June 29, the International Monetary Fund will hold a meeting to review the cooperation program with Ukraine.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a parliamentarian representing the Voice faction, wrote about this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the deputy, after the meeting, it is very likely that the next tranche will be announced, and the program will be updated with updated deadlines and goals.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the beginning of April 2023, the Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund approved a new four-year extended financing program (Extended Fund Facility - EFF) for Ukraine in the amount of USD 15.6 billion (11.6 billion SDR).
The first phase, scheduled for 2023-2024, will focus on implementing a reasonable budget for 2023 and increasing revenue mobilization, including avoiding measures that could reduce tax revenues.
The first stage also involves reducing inflation and maintaining the exchange rate, including through the support of relevant foreign exchange reserves.
