In April, the net international reserves of the National Bank increased by 6.2% year over year to USD 23.824 billion.
This is evidenced by NBU data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, they have increased by 30% from USD 18.322 billion.
Official reserve assets of the National Bank of Ukraine increased by 12.8% to USD 35.956 billion in April and increased by 26.2% since the beginning of the year from USD 28.494 billion.
At the same time, gross reserve liabilities increased by 28.3% to USD 12.132 billion in April and increased by 19.3% from USD 10.173 billion since the beginning of the year.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, net reserves decreased by 11.8% from USD 20.767 billion in 2022.
In 2021, the NBU's net international reserves increased by 14.6% from USD 18.144 billion year over year to USD 20.765 billion.
In 2020, net reserves increased by 14.5% from USD 15.785 billion.
In 2019, net reserves increased by 63.8% from USD 9.644 billion.
In 2022, international reserves decreased by 7.9% to USD 28.5 billion.
On July 21, the NBU adjusted the official hryvnia exchange rate by 25% to 36.5686 UAH/USD.
From August 6, 2022, the NBU canceled the restriction, according to which banks and non-banking institutions had to buy cash currency from the population at a rate no lower than the official one.
The NBU allowed banks to sell more currency to the public.
