In April 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 28 billion (114% of the level of March 2023), or 67% of the total trading volume of the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The exchange said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In January-April 2023, the total volume of trading on PFTS amounted to UAH 88.9 billion (179% of the level of the same period in 2022), or 66% of the total volume of trading of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In the trading structure for April, the share of state bonds was 97.3% (UAH 27.3 billion), bonds of a foreign state - 1.7% (UAH 0.5 billion), corporate bonds - 1% (UAH 0.3 billion), shares of foreign issuers -0.004% (UAH 0.1 million), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.004% (UAH 0.1 million).
In the "market of applications" 28% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 72% of transactions.
In April 2023, 38 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 41 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 29, government foreign loan bonds - 2, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 5, bonds of a foreign state - 3, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 2).
In January-April 2023, 41 bidders entered into transactions with 64 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 43, government foreign loan bonds - 3, shares of foreign issuers - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 5, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 7, bonds of a foreign state - 5).
Among the 29 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in April, 17 issues were with repayment dates in 2023 (UAH 14.2 billion), 7 issues - with repayment dates in 2024 (UAH 5.8 billion), 3 issues - with repayment dates in 2025 (UAH 7 billion), 1 issue - with repayment date in 2026 (UAH 0.03 billion), and 1 issue - with repayment date in 2027 (UAH 0.2 billion).
Since July 26, the PFTS has begun trading in foreign currency denominated government domestic loan bonds.
In April 2023, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 66 million and EUR 0.7 million (8.7% of the total trading volume).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 24.6 billion (147% of the level of February 2023), or 64% of the total trading volume of the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
