The search and rescue operation at the site of the Russian strike on a high-rise building in Uman has been completed. As a result of the attack, 23 people were killed, of which 6 were children, 9 people were wounded. The head of the Ministry of Interior Affairs Ihor Klymenko announced this on Facebook.
Of the 23 killed, 22 bodies were removed from the rubble, another person died in the hospital. Among the killed are six children: three boys (one and a half, 16 and 17 years old) and three girls (8, 11 and 14 years old). All 23 bodies of the killed have been identified. A special headquarters worked where direct relatives of the victims could provide biological samples for DNA comparison.
17 people were rescued from the rubble. Another 2 women are missing.
"All services worked smoothly and efficiently. Thank you to rescuers, police, utility workers, dozens of Uman residents who joined in the search through the rubble at the collapsed house. The work was very fast because everyone was in a hurry. Until the end, we hoped to find someone alive under the rubble," the Minister said.
