The Kyiv City Council has terminated the land lease agreement with the Russian Embassy.
Kyiv City Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Today, the Kyiv City Council terminated the land lease agreement with the embassy of the aggressor country - Russia. And also appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to return the property of the "diplomatic institution" of Russian barbarians to the property of the Ukrainian state,” he wrote.
The Russian Embassy in Kyiv is located at: 27 Povitroflotskyi Avenue.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 24, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had severed diplomatic relations with Russia.
