President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the video of the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war by beheading, noted that it demonstrates the essence of Russia and called on the leaders of countries around the world to react to it and help Ukraine win. Zelenskyy said this in a video message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"There is something that no one in the world can ignore: how easily these beasts kill. This video... the execution of a Ukrainian prisoner of war... The world must see. This is a video of Russia as it is. What kind of creatures these are. There are no people for them. A son, a brother, a husband... Someone's child... This is a video of Russia trying to make this very thing the new norm - this habit of destroying life. This is not an accident. This is not an episode. It happened before. It happened in Bucha. Thousands of times. Everyone must react. Every leader. Do not wait for it to be forgotten, for time to pass. We are not going to forget anything. And forgive the killers. Legal responsibility will be for everything. We need the defeat of terror," he said.
Zelenskyy called on the leaders of countries around the world to react to this and help Ukraine defeat this evil at the front.
"No one will understand if the leaders do not react. We need to act now! And we in Ukraine should focus on the front as much as possible. Help as much as possible. Drive the occupier from our land! The main goal is to win. The main goal is strength for Ukraine to win. The defeat of the occupier, sentences to murderers, a tribunal to the evil state," the President said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine is investigating the brutal killing by the occupiers of a Ukrainian soldier with a beheading, the video of which appeared on the Internet on April 11.
In the evening of April 11, a video of the brutal murder of a Ukrainian prisoner of war was shared on social networks. The video shows how a Russian soldier cuts off the head of a Ukrainian defender, who was still alive at the time, with a knife.
