In February, the volume of private remittances decreased by 16.6% and amounted to USD 978 million.

Wages received by Ukrainians from abroad decreased by 21.1%, and other private transfers received through official channels decreased by 36%.
In total, 29.6% fewer remittances were sent through official channels than in February last year, while the flow through informal channels increased by 1.2% compared to February last year.
In total, in January-February of this year, the volume of remittances decreased by 15.5%, including net wages - by 12.3%, and private transfers - by 22.4%.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2021, the volume of money transfers to Ukraine increased by 25.4% year over year to USD 15.026 billion.
In 2020, the volume of remittances increased by 1.7% to a record USD 12.1 billion.
