One of the enterprises of the Ukroboronprom concern and the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa company (PGZ S.A.) within the framework of the visit of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Republic of Poland concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of production of 125 mm tank shells.
This is stated in the message of Ukroboronprom, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"According to the agreement, the deployment of new production lines designed for the production of a large number of ammunition for 125-mm tank guns is foreseen. Taking into account the high risks of Russian missile attacks on the Ukroboronprom enterprise, only Polish cities are being considered for the creation of new production. However, both sides will work over with the appearance of shells: Ukraine will provide its technologies and highly qualified specialists with relevant competencies and experience," the message reads.
It is noted that this is another step towards further strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and Poland in the defense sphere.
"We will remind you that Ukroboronprom recently started producing 125-mm ammunition for tank guns together with one of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. Thus, Ukroboronprom will produce shells for tanks with two NATO member countries at the same time," the message reads.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in March, Ukroboronprom started producing 125 mm shells for tank guns.
