In March 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 24.6 billion (147% of the level of February 2023), or 64% of the total trading volume of the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The exchange said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In January-March 2023, the total volume of trading on PFTS amounted to UAH 60.9 billion (125% of the level of the same period in 2022), or 65% of the total volume of trading of securities trading organizers in Ukraine.
In the trading structure for March, the share of state bonds was 94% (UAH 23.1 billion), corporate bonds - 3.5% (UAH 0.9 billion), bonds of a foreign state - 2.4% (UAH 0.6 billion), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.001% (UAH 0.2 million).
In the "market of applications" 19.6% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 80.2% of transactions, in the repo market - 0.2% of transactions.
In March 2023, 39 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 42 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 32, government foreign loan bonds - 4, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 4, bonds of a foreign state - 4, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 1).
In January-March 2023, 40 bidders entered into transactions with 57 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 41, government foreign loan bonds - 2, shares of foreign issuers - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 3, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 5, bonds of a foreign state - 5).
Among the 32 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in March, 19 issues were with repayment dates in 2023 (UAH 11.4 billion), 6 issues - with repayment dates in 2024 (UAH 0.3 billion), 5 issues - with repayment dates in 2025 (UAH 10 billion), 1 issue - with repayment date in 2026 (UAH 1.3 billion), and 1 issue - with repayment date in 2027 (UAH 0.2 billion).
Since July 26, the PFTS has begun trading in foreign currency denominated government domestic loan bonds.
In March 2023, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 83.3 million and EUR 3.5 million (13% of the total trading volume).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange amounted to UAH 16.7 billion (85% of the level of January 2023), or 67% of the total trading volume of the organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
