The court arrested the shares of Dniprospetsstal, which belong to Oksana Marchenko, wife of the former Member of Parliament and the godfather of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) press center, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The value of arrested assets is more than UAH 440 million.
The court decision concerns 6.8% of the shares of PJSC Dniprospetsstal Electrometallurgical Plant named after A.M. Kuzmin in Zaporizhzhia, which Marchenko owns through three offshore companies.
This strategically important enterprise specializes in the industrial production of almost 1,000 types of steel and metal products.
Arrest of assets will prevent them from being re-registered as fictitious persons and in the future will allow them to be transferred to the benefit of Ukraine.
In late February this year, according to the SSU, the property of Medvedchuk's wife worth more than UAH 5.6 billion was arrested.
Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have already served the accused with the suspicion under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of actions committed for the purpose of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territory or state border of Ukraine).
An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The events are conducted by SSU employees in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Medvedchuk is appealing the removal of his MP mandate.
According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, the court arrested the property of Oksana Marchenko, who is suspected of financing Russian occupation groups. The total value of arrested assets is more than UAH 5.6 billion.
