The ICEYE spacecraft, transferred to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, helped find and destroy thousands of pieces of Russian military equipment.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The military intelligence of Ukraine started using the "people's satellite" on September 24, 2022.

Since then, the Security and Defense Forces of the state have been receiving the necessary intelligence from space.

During the 5 months of use of ICEYE, employees of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted space radar reconnaissance of almost 1,000 areas of the location of units of the aggressor state in temporarily occupied and other territories that were of interest to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During this time, the resource of the spacecraft allowed to detect 360 tents in the locations of the Russian occupation army, as well as 7,321 objects of enemy military and special equipment, in particular:

45 aircraft;

27 helicopters;

6 Iskander operational-tactical missile systems;

36 S-300 air defense systems;

12 Pantsir S1 air defense systems;

11 radar stations;

10 pontoon crossings.

Thanks to the capabilities of ICEYE, a large part of this list is destroyed and reflected in the daily summaries of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The employees of the military intelligence of Ukraine expressed their gratitude to the entire Ukrainian society, which joined the collection of funds for the space vehicle, to every volunteer who provides assistance to the defenders of Ukraine every day, and to the Serhii Prytula Charitable Foundation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the money collected as part of the People's Bayraktar campaign allowed Ukraine to rent a satellite of the Finnish company ICEYE for a year, with the help of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have access to high-quality images for operational planning of operations.
