In February, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange increased by 60.2% to UAH 1.513 billion over January.
The exchange has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that the total volume of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange in February was UAH 1,513,310,912.51, and the total number of transactions was 9,714.
In the trading structure for February 2023, government bonds (OVDPs) accounted for 99.68% of the total turnover, or UAH 1,508,455,828.31; shares - 0.12%, or UAH 1,828,770.07; investment certificates - 0.01%, or UAH 30,496.96; foreign securities - 0.20%, or UAH 2,995,817.17.
It is noted that in February, the index of Ukrainian shares (UX index) increased by 4.99% from 1,311.40 to 1,376.84 points.
The leaders in the share securities market in February were: Halychpнarm JSC (UAH 1.2 million), Astarta Holding N.V. JSC (UAH 0.5 million), and Raiffeisen Bank Aval JSC (UAH 0.4 million).
The leaders of circulation on the debt securities market in February were:
- 204150 government bonds, repayment 26.02.2025 (UAH 990.1 million);
- 218531 government bonds, repayment 13.05.2026 (UAH 216.5 million);
- 201255 government bonds, repayment 24.05.2023 (UAH 68.2 million).
The leading operators of the stock and fund certificate market in February were Navigator-Invest, Kinto Ltd, and BTS Broker.
The leading operators of the bond market in February were Globus Bank, PrivatBank, and OTP Bank.
In turn, the leading operators of the foreign securities market in February were Kinto Ltd, Univer Capital, and Dragon Capital.
Ukrainian Exchange is a liquidity center for stocks and derivatives in Ukraine.
The index of Ukrainian shares is calculated from the start of trading on the Ukrainian Exchange on March 26, 2009.
The initial value was taken equal to 500 points.
Today, the Index Basket includes 6 of the most liquid shares.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January, the trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange decreased by 22.0% to UAH 0.945 billion over December.
