Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, who left for the next meeting in the Ramstein format, said that the main issues of the agenda of the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine are the protection of the Ukrainian sky and the development of a "tank coalition."
Reznikov announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I left for another meeting in the Ramstein format. For the ninth time, I have the honor to lead a joint team of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Intelligence, the General Staff and our diplomats, which will work intensively with partners in the coming days. The pace is extremely high," he wrote.
Reznikov said that the main issues of the agenda are the protection of the Ukrainian sky, including through the involvement of an aviation platform; building a "tank coalition"; formation of the ammunition safety margin; training programs for Ukrainian soldiers; stability of support - logistics, maintenance, repair; practical implementation of the "military schengen."
Reznikov also said that the day before he had a number of conversations with partners who added to his optimism.
The meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein-9) will be held on February 14 at NATO headquarters in Brussels (Belgium).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Reznikov said that at the Ramstein-8 in Germany in January, significant attention was paid to the strengthening of air defense.
