Steel production down 6.5 times to 0.3 million tons in January

In January, steel production decreased 6.5 times or by 1.567 million tons year over year to 284,000 tons.

This is stated in the information published on the website of the association of enterprises Ukrmetalurgprom, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In January, the production of pig iron decreased 4.7 times or by 1.402 million tons year over year to 384,000 tons, the production of rolled products fell 6.5 times or by 1.413 million tons to 257,000 tons.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2022, steel production decreased 3.4 times or by 15,103,000 tons year over year to 6,263,000 tons.

Also, in 2022, the production of pig iron decreased 3.3 times or by 14,774,000 tons year over year to 6,391,000 tons, the production of rolled products fell 3.6 times or by 13,729,000 tons to 5,350,000 tons.
