In January 2023, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange increased by 46% to UAH 19.6 billion over December 2022.
The exchange said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In the trading structure for January, the share of government bonds amounted to 99.97% (UAH 19.6 billion), corporate bonds - 0.02% (UAH 4.2 million), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.005% (UAH 0.9 million), bonds of a foreign state - 0.001% (UAH 0.3 million), shares of foreign issuers - 0.001% (UAH 0.1 million).
In the "market of applications" 13% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 87% of transactions.
In January 2023, 35 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 32 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 27, government foreign loan bonds - 1, corporate bonds - 1, bonds of a foreign state - 1, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 1, shares of foreign issuers - 1).
Among the 27 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in January, there were 20 issues with maturity dates in 2023 (UAH 13.9 billion), 5 issues with maturity dates in 2024 (UAH 4.3 billion), 1 issue with maturity dates in 2025 (UAH 1.4 billion) and in 2027 (UAH 0.06 billion) each.
In January 2023, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 33.1 million and EUR 5.4 million (7.3% of the total volume of trading).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December 2022, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange increased by 69% to UAH 13.4 billion over November.
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
