State budget targets fulfilled with a deficit of UAH 72.3 billion in January

For January 2023, the state budget was fulfilled with a deficit of UAH 72.3 billion.

This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Finance, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to the latest data, for January 2023, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 104.4 billion.

Among the payments, the execution of which is controlled by tax and customs authorities, the main revenues were received at the expense of:

- value added tax on goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine – UAH 24.4 billion;

- value added tax on goods produced in Ukraine – UAH 11.8 billion (UAH 31.1 billion collected, reimbursed – UAH 19.3 billion);

- personal income tax and military duty – UAH 11.3 billion;

- rent payment for subsoil use – UAH 5.6 billion;

- excise tax – UAH 5.3 billion;

- import and export duty – UAH 2.0 billion;

- corporate income tax – UAH 1.2 billion.

In addition, in January 2023, UAH 36.6 billion went to the general fund of the state budget in the form of international aid (grants).

In January 2023, the income of the Social Security Administration to the Pension Fund and social insurance funds amounted to UAH 32.4 billion.

According to the operational data of the State Security Service in January 2023, cash expenditures of the state budget amounted to 193.7 billion , including the general fund – UAH 183.6 billion, or 80.6% of the schedule for the reporting period.

In January 2023, the state budget was implemented with a deficit in the amount of UAH 72.3 billion, including the general fund in the amount of UAH 78.9 billion, against the planned deficit in the amount of UAH 158.6 billion in the schedule of the general fund for January 2023.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the state budget for 2022 was implemented with a deficit in the amount of UAH 911.1 billion, in December the deficit amounted to UAH 99 billion.
