The aggregate state (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine in December increased by 3.59% or USD 3.86 billion to USD 111.34 billion compared to the previous month.
This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In 2022, the total state debt increased by USD 13.39 billion or 13.66% to USD 111.34 billion.
State and state-guaranteed debt at the end of December amounted to UAH 4,071.68 billion or USD 111.34 billion against UAH 3,929.73 billion or USD 107.46 billion a month earlier.
The total amount of direct state debt as of December 31 was UAH 3,715.12 billion (USD 101.59 billion) against UAH 3,572.3 billion (USD 97.69 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, the direct foreign debt increased from USD 61.48 billion to USD 63.59 billion for the month.
Direct domestic debt increased in hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,324.2 billion to UAH 1,389.69 billion (in dollar terms it increased from USD 36.21 billion to USD 38.00 billion).
The state-guaranteed debt as of December 31 amounted to UAH 356.56 billion or USD 9.75 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2021, the state debt increased by 8.52% or USD 7.69 billion to USD 97.95 billion.
In 2020, the total national debt increased by 6.9% from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.
In 2019, the state and state-guaranteed debt increased by USD 6.05 billion, and in hryvnia equivalent decreased by UAH 170 billion.
