As of January 19, agricultural enterprises have harvested 51.9 million tons of grain and leguminous crops from an area of 11 million hectares (95%) with a yield of 47.3 centners per hectare.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In particular, 20.2 million tons of wheat was threshed on an area of 4.979 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 40.5 centners per hectare; 5.8 million tons of barley was threshed an area of 1.7 million hectares (100%), with a yield of 34.7 centners per hectare; 269,000 tons of peas was threshed on an area of 118,000 hectares (100%), with a yield of 22.8 centners per hectare; 24.4 million tons of corn was threshed on an area of 3.7 million hectares (87%), with a yield of 66.1 centners per hectare; 158,500 tons of buckwheat was threshed on an area of 116,000 hectares (98%), with a yield of 13.7 centners per hectare; 101,800 tons of millet was ground on an area of 44,700 hectares (99%), with a yield of 22.8 centners per hectare.
In addition, sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of 4.8 million hectares (99%), 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed at a yield of 21.7 centners per hectare.
Soybean harvesting was carried out on an area of 1.5 million hectares (100%), 3.7 million tons were ground at a yield of 24.3 centners per hectare (last year, 1.3 million hectares (100%) were threshed at a yield of 26.8 centners per hectare, 3.4 million tons were threshed).
Rapeseed harvesting was carried out on an area of 1.1 million hectares (100%), 3.2 million tons of seeds were ground at a yield of 28.6 centners per hectare (last year, at the corresponding date, 1,014,000 hectares (100%) were threshed at a yield of 28.6 centners per hectare, 2.9 million tons were threshed).
Sugar beet was dug on an area of 180,500 hectares (100%), 9 million tons of sweet roots were dug at a yield of 501.5 centners per hectare (last year, 226,000 hectares (100%) were dug at a yield of 470 centners per hectare, 10.6 million tons were gathered).
It is noted that the farmers of the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia and Ternopil Regions have completed the harvesting of all crops this year.
At the same time, the highest yield of grain and leguminous crops was among farmers of the Khmelnytskyi Region - 70.8 centners per hectare.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food maintains the forecast of grain and oilseeds crops at the level of 65-67 million tons in 2022.
Agrarians collected 106 million tons of grain, legumes and oilseeds in 2021, which is the largest indicator in the history of independent Ukraine.
Grain and legumes were collected in the volume of more than 84 million tons, oilseeds - 22.6 million tons.
