2022 Inflation 26.6%

In 2022, consumer prices rose by 26.6%.

This was reported by the State Statistics Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In December, inflation was 0.7%.

Including prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in 2022 increased by 34.4% (for December they increased by 0.7%), for clothes and shoes - increased by 2.4% (for December they decreased by 2.6%), on housing and utility services - increased by 6.0% (in December increased by 0.1%), on services related to health care - increased by 19.9% (in December increased by 0.9%), for education - increased by 9.8% (stable in December).

Compared to December 2021, consumer prices rose by 20.2% in December 2022.

In December 2022, the basic consumer price index increased by 0.8%.

In 2022, the basic consumer price index increased by 22.6%.

Core inflation is a sub-index of the consumer price index.

Base CPI (base inflation) is a part of inflation that reflects the dynamics of free prices without taking into account items whose prices are affected by administrative and seasonal factors.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2022, consumer prices increased by 0.7%, the basic consumer price index increased by 1.3%.

Inflation was recorded at 10.0% in 2021, 5.0% inflation in 2020, 4.1% inflation in 2019, 9.8% inflation in 2018, 13.7% inflation in 2017.

In 2021, core inflation was 7.9%.

The state budget for 2022 foresees an increase in consumer prices (December to December of the previous year) – 6.2%.
