As of January 6, agricultural enterprises had harvested 49.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops from an area of 10.7 million hectares (93%), a yield being 46.4 tons per hectare.
This follows from a statement by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, 4.979 million hectares (100%) of wheat were threshed, 20.2 million tons were threshed (yield - 40.5 tons per hectare); 1.7 million hectares of barley were threshed (100%), 5.8 million tons were threshed (yield – 34.7 centners per hectare); 118,000 hectares of peas were threshed (100%), 269,000 tons were threshed (yield - 22.8 tons per hectare); 3.4 million hectares (81%) of corn were threshed for grain, 22.1 million tons were threshed (yield – 64.8 tons per hectare); 116,000 hectares (98%) of buckwheat were threshed, 158,500 tons were threshed (yield – 13.7 tons per hectare); millet was threshed on 44,700 hectares (99%), 101,800 tons were threshed (yield - 22.8 tons per hectare).
In addition, sunflower harvesting was carried out on an area of 4.8 million hectares (99%), and 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 21.7 tons per hectare.
Soybeans were harvested from an area of 1.5 million hectares (100%), and 3.7 million tons were threshed with a yield of 24.3 tons per hectare.
Rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1.1 million hectares (100%), and 3.2 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 28.6 tons per hectare.
Sugar beets were dug up on an area of 180,000 hectares (99%), and 9 million tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 501 tons per hectare.
It is noted that the agrarians of Mykolayiv Region, Odesa Region, Bukovyna, and Vinnytsia Region have finished harvesting this year's harvest of all agricultural crops.
At the same time, the highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 70.9 tons per hectare.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food maintains the forecast for the harvest of grain and oil crops at the level of 67 million tons in 2022.
In 2021, farmers harvested 106 million tons of grain, leguminous, and oil crops, which is the largest indicator in the entire history of independent Ukraine.
More than 84 million tons of cereals and legumes were harvested, 22.6 million tons of oil crops.
