The court in France is currently considering the extradition of former Member of Parliament Kostiantyn Zhevaho, who is suspected of embezzling money.
This was reported to Ukrainian News Agency by sources in law enforcement agencies.
"At 10:00 a.m. Kyiv time, the court of the French city of Chambéry began considering the merits of the Ukrainian side's request to extradite fugitive businessman Kostiantyn Zhevaho," the interlocutor said.
According to him, the decision has not yet been made.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the court in France imposed an extradition arrest for 40 days on the former Member of Parliament, businessman Kostiantyn Zhevaho.
Kostiantyn Zhevaho faces up to 12 years in prison in Ukraine. Zhevaho was detained in Courchevel.
The State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor General's Office have sent a request to the Principality of Monaco for the extradition to Ukraine of the former Member of Parliament and businessman Kostiantyn Zhevaho.
The court arrested in absentia the former non-factional member of the Verkhovna Rada, the beneficial owner of the bank Finance and Credit Kostiantyn Zhevaho.
The SBI suspects Zhevaho of involvement in the embezzlement of UAH 2.5 billion of the Finance and Credit bank and the legalization (laundering) of criminally obtained funds.
