In December 2022, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange increased by 69% to UAH 13.4 billion over November.
The exchange said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In the trading structure for December, the share of government bonds amounted to 99.6% (UAH 13.38 billion), corporate bonds - 0.35% (UAH 47.6 million), and shares of Ukrainian issuers - 0.01% (UAH 1.4 million).
In the "market of applications" 14% of transactions were concluded, in the "market of quotations" (including address agreements) - 86% of transactions.
In 2022, the total volume of trading on PFTS amounted to UAH 90.3 billion, or 53% of the total volume of trading organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
In December, 36 bidders at PFTS entered into transactions with 38 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 32, government foreign loan bonds - 1, corporate bonds - 3, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 2).
In 2022, 47 bidders entered into transactions with 122 issues of securities (government domestic loan bonds - 60, government foreign loan bonds - 10, shares of foreign issuers - 28, shares of Ukrainian issuers - 7, corporate bonds of Ukrainian issuers - 11, municipal bonds - 4, bonds of foreign issuers - 1, bonds of a foreign state - 1).
Among the 32 issues of government bonds with which transactions were concluded in December, there were 3 issues with maturity dates in 2022 (UAH 0.3 billion), 21 issues with maturity dates in 2023 (UAH 9.4 billion), 5 issues with maturity dates in 2024 (UAH 0.9 billion), and 1 issue with maturity dates in 2025 (UAH 2.4 billion), 2026 (UAH 0.03 billion), and 2027 (UAH 0.4 billion) each.
Since July 26, the PFTS has begun trading in foreign currency denominated government domestic loan bonds.
In December, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 35.4 million and EUR 4.8 million (11% of the total volume of trading).
In 2022, the volume of exchange contracts with government bonds, executed in the currency of denomination, amounted to USD 170.6 million and EUR 5.5 million (7% of the total volume of trading).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November 2022, the total volume of trading on the PFTS stock exchange increased by 61.3% to UAH 8 billion over October.
The PFTS stock exchange is one of the largest organizers of securities trading in Ukraine.
The PFTS index has been the official index of Ukraine in S&P Emerging Markets since 1997.
