Total State Debt Up 4.2% To USD 107.5 Billion In November

The overall state (direct and state-secured) debt of Ukraine in November increased by 4.2%, or USD 4.34 billion, to USD 107.46 billion compared to the previous month.

This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The state and state-secured debt as of late November amounted to UAH 3,929.73 billion, or USD 107.46 billion, against UAH 3,770.95 billion, or USD 103.12 billion, a month earlier.

The total direct state debt as of November 30 was UAH 3,572.3 billion (USD 97.69 billion) versus UAH 3,417.38 billion (USD 93.45 billion) a month earlier.

At the same time, the direct external debt for the month increased from USD 57.80 billion to USD 61.48 billion.

The direct domestic debt increased in hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,303.76 billion to UAH 1,324.2 billion (in dollar equivalent increased from USD 35.65 billion to USD 36.21 billion).

The state-secured debt as of November 30 was UAH 357.43 billion, or USD 9.77 billion.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2021 the state debt increased by 8.52%, or by USD 7.69 billion, to USD 97.95 billion.

In 2020, the combined state debt increased by 6.9%, from USD 84.4 billion to USD 90.3 billion.

In 2019, the state and state-secured debt increased by USD 6.05 billion, and in the hryvnia equivalent decreased by UAH 170 billion.
