Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, payments on bonds of the domestic state loan have exceeded borrowing by UAH 80 billion.

This is evidenced by the data of the National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

During Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the government raised UAH 107.05 billion, USD 1.4 billion and EUR 468.4 million from the placement of government bonds at auctions.

At the same time, UAH 164.99 billion, USD 2.09 billion and EUR 168 million were allocated to repayment of domestic debt securities.

During the martial law, the Ministry of Finance increased the yield on a number of hryvnia securities (the maximum yield was 18.5% per annum), as well as on all dollar-denominated government bonds (the maximum yield was 4.5% per annum).

Rates for hryvnia war bonds for three months, as well as for government bonds denominated in euros, have not yet changed and are 9.5% per annum and 2.5% per annum, respectively.

As of October 31, the largest portfolio of relevant securities will continue to be held by banks - primary dealers.

The second in terms of volume remains the portfolio of war bonds, concentrated by citizens and businesses of Ukraine.

It consists of:

- UAH 14.25 billion or 15.1% of the total volume of purchased hryvnia military government bonds;

- USD 232.7 million or 27.2% of the total volume of war bonds denominated in dollars;

- EUR 148.3 million or 51.9% of the total volume of government bonds denominated in euros.

The amount of government bonds owned by non-residents as of October 31 is UAH 1.12 billion and USD 2 million.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 22, 2022, the National Bank began publishing statistics of the NBU depository on war bonds on a weekly basis.
