The authorities of Iran, which supplies Russia with weapons for the war against Ukraine, recommended its citizens not to travel to Ukraine and to leave its territory if they are there.
This is stated in a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, European Pravda writes.
"In connection with the escalation of the military conflict and increasing instability in Ukraine, all Iranian citizens are strongly advised to refrain from traveling to this country. Also, in this announcement, all Iranian citizens living in Ukraine are advised to leave this country in order to preserve their lives and safety," the message said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said on Monday that Tehran did not hand over drones to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine.
The General Staff reported that Iran promised the Russian Federation to send instructors and assistants to its territory to train operators in the use of the promising Arash-2 attack drones.
Meanwhile, the U.S. and its allies intend to prevent the transfer of Iranian weapons and drones to Russia.
